Responsible for coordinating the rose garden team for the ongoing maintenance of the rose garden at Florence Griffith Joyner Olympiad Park in Mission Viejo. The rose garden team meets one day per month to prune, feed and generally maintain the rose garden.
Oversees the table for distribution of member's donated plant cuttings at monthly meetings.
Responsible for coordinating our monthly community outreach project of creating small, individual arrangements for local Mission Viejo hospice patients in conjunction with St. Joseph Hospital
Responsible for presenting horticulture tips at each meeting (excluding field trips). This may involve research on a specific plant or garden-related subject, and presenting it at the meeting. The objective is to educate our members on a variety of garden-related topics.
Responsible for coordinating volunteers to provide refreshments for general meetings and other special events, and coordinating setup and cleanup crews for each meeting.
Responsible for presenting a brief, inspirational message at each meeting (excluding field trips).
Responsible for the collection of all annual membership dues. Shall maintain an accurate record of the members of the club and provide that information to the Executive Board and the Yearbook and Notifications Chairman. At meetings, responsible for passing out name tags, maintaining the sign-in book, and introducing visitors and/or new members at each meeting
Responsible for notifying Club members of all upcoming Club meetings, field trips and special events via email.
With team, provides support to 1st VP/Programs for special activities such as field trips, hands-on workshops at monthly meetings, and Members Garden Tour.
With team, organizes and conducts regular meeting raffle activities.
Manages online accounts, shares club events, and posts photos of plants and club activities. They build community interest, update members on meetings and activities, and highlight member achievements across digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or a local club website.
With team, purchases and delivers a small plant and card for members experiencing difficult life circumstances, organizes support for members needing garden care help due to physical limitations and members preparing to participate in Members Garden Tour.
Responsible for compilation of necessary information into the annual yearbook and distributing copies to all members.
